Biomarkers/Target Engagement Markers
Scianalytical has the mass spectrometry technology and expertise to support both untargeted and target biomarker identification. Untargeted biomarker measurements are made using two-dimensional chromatography coupled with high resolution mass spectrometry to identify candidate lipids, metabolites, peptides and protein biomarkers. Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometry is then used to quantify specific biomarkers (so-called targeted biomarker analysis). The principals at SciAnalytical published one of the first paper on affinity chromatography/reversed phase HPLC/MS for the analysis of protein:protein interactions (back in 1995!). See this seminal publication below.
